Here is a first preview image of the visualisation of Piramesses, the capital city of Ramesses II. We are visualising a whole island full of houses, vegetation and at a later point also people. This is a very first draft and will change eventually, but you can have a first look. It only shows a small part of the island, as we are still in the progress of reconstructing it.

We are currently working on two animations for the upcoming exhibition “Ramses. Göttlicher Herrscher am Nil” (“Ramesses. Divine ruler on the Nile”) in the Badisches Landesmuseum in Karlsruhe, Germany. The exhibtion will open on the 17th of December 2016 and last until the 18th of June of 2017. In the upcoming months, we want to keep you up-to-date on the progress of creating these two animations and are perhaps able to share some previews. The first animations will present a extensive reconstruction of the center of the capital of Ramesses, called Pi-Ramesses. The second animation will show details of the stables that were excavated there.
For more information about the exhibtion, please go here.
For the ongoing exhibition “Ana ziqquratim” in Strasbourg, we have created two animations. The first onbe being an overfly of the Anu Ziggurat of the Late Uruk Period (2nd half of the 4th millennium BCE) and the second one being an overfly of the Eanna Ziggurat of the Ur III Period (21st century BCE) in Uruk. The models are not new and you can find the description of both projects already on our website, but the two animations are brand-new. Enjoy!
Complementing the ongoing exhibition “ana ziqquratim” in Strasbourg, the exhibition catalogue is published, where I was able to contribute a small article about the White Temple of Uruk. It is in French (thank you very much for the translation!), but the catalogue is worth a look. On 287 pages you will find over 30 articles concerning the topic of Ancient Near Eastern architecture and especially ziggurats. The exhibition is still ongoing and you can see it between the 27th of April and the 21st of June 2016 in Strasbourg: Bibliothèque nationale et universitaire de Strasbourg, 6 place de la République, 67000 Strasbourg.
Between the 27th of April and the 21st of June 2016 there will be an exhibition on ziggurats in Strasbourg (France). We were happy to provide two animations for this exhibtion, where you can see the Anu Ziggurat and the Eanna Ziggurat in detail besides other visualisations of ziggurats. If you have the possibility, please check out the exhibition. It was created by the students of the University of Strasbourg. I highly recommend it.
